CML 2009

PREFACE

The Tamil Nadu CIVIL MEDICAL LIST was first prepared in 1894. In the initial stage this was published quarterly. Subsequently, this was made a Half Yearly publication, and gradually it has been made a biennial publication, due to vast expansion of the Medical Department during the past several decades.

The CIVIL MEDICAL LIST is the vital record which helps the administration to assess the seniority and other service particulars of Government Doctors in various categories.

The CIVIL MEDICAL LIST containing various information in respect of the Medical Officers is published by the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services who is the Unit Officer for the cadre maintenance of various categories as a whole in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Enormous effects have been put to collect the required particulars and compile the present CIVIL MEDICAL LIST as on 01/10/2009 comprising of the Medical Personnel working under all the Directorates in Health and Family Welfare Department by the Director of Medical and Rural Health Services, with the co-operation extended by the Director of Medical Education, Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and Director of Medical and Rural Health Services (ESI) etc. However the scope for any omission due to non-receipt of required particulars etc cannot be ruled out. Such omissions may kindly be brought to the notice of DIRECTOR OF MEDICAL AND RURAL HEALTH SERVICES, 256-258, ANNA SALAI, CHENNAI-600 006 on or before 31/01/2010, so as to enable us to publish corrected CIVIL MEDICAL LIST as on 01/01/2010.

Director of Medical and Rural Health Services, takes pleasure in thanking the Principal Secretary to Government, Health and Family Welfare Department, Chennai-600 009 for his kind guidance for carrying out the above work. I also thank the Director of Medical Education, Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and Director of Medical and Rural Health Services (ESI) for the valuable help and co-operation extended by them in bringing out this publication.

I acknowledge the Special Secretary to Government, Health and Family Welfare Department, was kind enough to sanction and provide a new computer. Government’s contribution in providing computer data service particulars has quickened the completion of this work.

  4. why so much confusion and delay in implementing the g.o on d.a.c.p. why so much confusion in preparing a data base for promotions why such callousness in updataion of CML list 2005 to cml 2009.there are only roughly 11000 people working as doctors why a proper database cannot be created in this computer era.really shocking state of affairs

  7. DR NOORUS SAYEED MD GH AMBURFebruary 26, 2010 at 4:49 PM

I WAS ONE AMONG 1600 CANDIDATES SELECTED BY TNPSC 1989. MY RANK ALLOTTED BY TNPSC WAS

84/1600( BASED ON MY PERFORMANCE IN TNPSC EXAM ) BECAUSE I WAS UNDERGOING MD(MEDICINE)(1988-1991) I WAS NOT ABLE TO JOIN SERVICE LIKE MANY OF MY BATHMATES OF 1989.IMMEDIATELY AFTER MY EXAMS ON 31st MARCH 1991, I JOINED SERVICE ON 01-04-91. IT WAS NOT MY MISTAKE. MANY OF US REPRESENTED THE THEN DME & DMS REGARDING THIS. THEY JOINTLY ASSURED US THAT CML NUMBER ALONE WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR SENIORITY AND NOT JOINING DATE. HENCE MOST OF US CONTINUED TO PURSUE OUR PG COURSE .NOW IT IS VERY UNFAIR TO COSIDER PARTICULARLY THOSE WHO WERE PURSUING PG AND NOT JOINED DURING 1989. MANY QUERIES NEEDANSWERS: (1) A CANDIDATE WITH 1600 RANK(TNPSC 1989)JOINS SERVICE IN 1989 WITH MBBS. AND I WITH 84 RANK SAME BATCH JOIN WITH MD IN 1991. FROM CML 4114 I WILL GO TO CML 5300. ABSURD ? (2) 1989 SELECTED TNPSC BATCH WAS DIOING MCH NEURO (PG 5 YEARS) AND JOINS SERVICE ONLY IN 1993 WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO HIS CML & SUBSEQUENT SENIORITY

  8. //IT WAS NOT MY MISTAKE.//
Why you did not discontinue the course and join immediately

    That was your mistake

// MANY OF US REPRESENTED THE THEN DME & DMS REGARDING THIS. THEY JOINTLY ASSURED US THAT CML NUMBER ALONE WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR SENIORITY AND NOT JOINING DATE.//

Exactly. CML Number Alone will be considered.
That is what they are doing now

What exactly is your problem here

//.NOW IT IS VERY UNFAIR TO COSIDER PARTICULARLY THOSE WHO WERE PURSUING PG AND NOT JOINED DURING 1989. //
Not at all. It is totally fair.
Those who discontinued PG, and followed the ruled, would have completed his PG only in 1995 or 1996. You have saved 5 years

// (1) A CANDIDATE WITH 1600 RANK(TNPSC 1989)JOINS SERVICE IN 1989 WITH MBBS. AND I WITH 84 RANK SAME BATCH JOIN WITH MD IN 1991. FROM CML 4114 I WILL GO TO CML 5300. ABSURD ?//

    That candidate discontinued his PG.
He appeared for Entrance Exam again
    He studied once again

So he deserves what is due by law

It was your mistake that you did not check the rules

// (2) 1989 SELECTED TNPSC BATCH WAS DIOING MCH NEURO (PG 5 YEARS) AND JOINS SERVICE ONLY IN 1993 WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO HIS CML & SUBSEQUENT SENIORITY//
He will be placed last in your batch. What is the doubt here
